Thank you for reading!

I must admit that since we've been going out to eat so frequently, I have definitely noticed a learning curve when it comes to newly opened restaurants and service. Maybe I'm becoming a pushover, but I actually am starting to empathize with the restaurant more when service is bad.

I must also admit that I know nothing about New York style pizza, but you are another one who says it's the best! (I think we noted above that Dusty who lived in New York and loves NY style Pizza thought it was great!)

We love the food at Grimaldi's but have to admit the one time we actually sat to eat there the service was a bit crazy. I kept trying to help our waitress out, but she still didn't charge us for half of what we ordered and told us it was ok because they were still working out the kinks (we were there at I believe the opening night in September). However we do return regularly for takeout because they are hands down the best pizza I've had since leaving the east coast.

This is a great blog I'll definitely be reading here often!

We had a similar seating experience when we went - only they sat us at a super small table outside that was directly under the one light that was attracting bugs. Said they didn't have any available tables inside. They did - and we complained to our waiter 'cause we couldn't keep bugs out of our water. She found us a table inside quickly. I always get the feeling with those hostess girls that they are tasked (whether on their own or through management) with keeping the front of the house "pretty and hip." I never fall into either category. HA!

As far as the bar - I think there is a law that requires minors not be allowed in a bar area past a certain point in the evening. I want to say it's 8 or 9 - I know Aparicio's has some sort of sign up in their bar area that says "no kids after" some hour.
